Michael Dewayne Brooks, of Warren, Michigan, has been charged with spousal abuse following the death of his morbidly obese wife, who weighed over 400 lbs (other reports have 500-700 lbs). According to the prosecutor, he allowed her to lie in her own filth for a week, and by the time he called the medics it was already too late. Apparently, his wife was injured in a car accident almost two years ago, and he was her “primary caretaker” (it isn’t specified whether this was official, but it’s unlikely — usually the term applies to parents). Mr. Brooks was also responsible for their four children, who were removed by CPS.I guess that the lesson here is that if your wife gets too fat to get out of bed, file for divorce, pack up the kids, dial 911, and get out of town.

Good question. Most of those stories about about an irresponsible mom and no dad. This one is the reverse.
Did Spearhead,report that he is being blamed or accuss or charged with permitting his wife to become morbidly obese ? Did you decide this on your own ?
I gave a link to the news story. The wife's morbid obesity was the cause of all the problems.
The report didn't blame the husband for the obesity. It said nothing about the husband permitting her to become obese.
According to the prosecutor, he allowed her to lie in her own filth for a week, and by the time he called the medics it was already too late.
