With Father's Day around the corner, President Obama today admitted that his wife once scolded him for suggesting it was a "forgotten holiday."Obama is the most henpecked President since Jimmy Carter. At least he did not slam fathers as he did for Fathers Day in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Over lunch with campaign supporters in downtown Washington, the president complained that people tended to make a bigger deal out of Mother's Day.
"There was one year that I got a tie or something, and I said why is it that everybody makes a big deal about Mother's Day and Fathers Day seems to be the forgotten holiday?" he said. "And Michelle looks at me, and she says, 'Let me tell you what, every day is Father's Day. You're always getting a treat.'"

Happy Fathers Day
Our President celebrated the day:

not one article about Father's Day in the Sentinel except for some small AP presswire blurb at the bottom about Obama playing golf today. Even the NYT at least had half a dozen stories about fathers and Father's Day prominently placed. Tells you everything you need to know about this town. Thanks UC Santa Cruz Women Studies. Bunch of haters.
I think the President might change his mind about Father's Day being a "forgotten holdiday" if he were to stand in a long line at the store (as I did this morning)and see people buying last minute Fathers' Day gifts. (And, while he's at it, he could see the outrageous sales tax that people pay on items.) Barbara
