On Facebook I saw a 1001 post of the annual...It takes a real mom to be a dad to type post. Sigh..... Or to the real dads out there...happy Fathers Day....ahh, so you'll only wish them a good day if they fit your ideal of "real". So very very sick of this leftist tripe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8081447.post-60762695971849701032013-06-16T20:32:16.527-07:002013-06-16T20:32:16.527-07:00Agree with the first commenter. IOW: the laws should be *more* punitive, with *harsher* punishment for "deadbeat dads".
Are there chain-gangs yet, for alimony arrears? There will be. And the pittance that is notionally paid to men breaking rocks in prison will all go straight to cupcake.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8081447.post-12034875928850663042013-06-16T10:57:52.872-07:002013-06-16T10:57:52.872-07:00"We should reform our child support laws to g..."We should reform our child support laws to get more men working and engaged with their children."

Yeah, that one sentence kind of threw me. How is reforming child support laws going to get more men working? Many people aren't working because they can't find a job. Is the implication that a child support order will force a man to get a job if he is currently unemployed? This just seems to reinforce the deadbeat dad stereotype which is a form of gender prejudice.

And if he wants more men engaged with their children he should be advocating for reform of child custody and visitation laws. Maybe if government (family courts) simply got out of the way, more men would be engaged with their children.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
